Local Rules
OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 27-1)
All ground beyond the external fences including the Superintendent’s Compound, white stakes with black tops on the right hand side of 7th & 8th holes, Carpark and Practice Putting Greens as defined
TREES AND SHRUBS
If a tree or shrub under two club lengths in height interferes with a player’s stance or area of his intended swing, the player MUST take relief as provided in Rule 24-2b(I). The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.
WHEEL MARKS
Except in a hazard, wheel marks made by a mower, tractor or motor vehicle, are ground under repair. Rule 25 applies.
STONES
Through the green or in a bunker, loose stones are movable obstructions, rule 24-1 applies and embedded stones are immovable obstructions, rule 24-2 applies.
GARDEN BEDS - GROUND UNDER REPAIR
Garden beds are ground under repair, play is prohibited and the player MUST take relief under Rule 25-1.
LATERAL WATER HAZARDS (RULE 26-1)
(i) Playing the 7th hole, the weir and creek are lateral water hazards. Playing the 10th hole, the lake is a lateral water hazard.
(ii) The playing of a provisional ball is permitted for a ball which may be lost in the lateral water hazard on the 7th or 10th hole. If the original ball be found in the lateral water hazard, the player may play the original ball as it lies or continue the provisional ball in play, but not proceed under Rule 26-1.
FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS, HOOPS, ROPES, STAKES & TREE GUARDS
All fixed sprinkler heads, hoops, ropes, stakes and tree guards are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under rule 24-2.
IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS ON OR WITHIN TWO CLUB LENGTHS OF PUTTING GREEN
If a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and an immovable obstruction on or within two clubs lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief as follows:
The ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay that (a) is not nearer the hole (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green. The ball may be cleaned when lifted.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE
Match Play - Loss of Hole
Stroke Play - 2 strokes
