Medway Precinct Plan

Dear Members,

The Board commissioned a professional golf consultancy to prepare a ‘Precinct Plan’ to address the need for us to improve practice facilities, remove old building and improve the accessibility and appearance of the ‘precinct’ around the club house, pro shop, tee areas and entrances.

‘Well Played Golf’ is the golf consultancy that we engaged. They have delivered similar plans to many other golf clubs. Under the direction of a small sub-committee (Jenny Kelly, Corey Nixon and Craig Saville) and responding to our requirements they prepared the concept plan. The report and plan was produced and offered proposed solutions to our needs and a logical sequencing to delivering those solutions. Note this is a launching point for us to do more planning and execution. We did not commission Well Played to prepare detailed plans, costings and funding models. That will be our job.

The Board has reviewed and accepted the report. We are pleased that Well Played Precinct Plan added value to our  requirements.

The Board will host an information session at 6.00 pm at the clubhouse on the 4th of December  and you are invited to attend.

Melbourne Water Sewer Project

The Board has commenced discussions with Melbourne Water as to how the next 18 months will look like in regards to support for the club. The Board has and will continue to utilize external assistance to ensure the club continues to have best outcome possible due to the impact to the club over many years.

The re-tender process has been completed for  ongoing project -Phase 2 from the 8th tee to the river crossing. Once we receive more formal timelines we will post here but expectations are the project will complete now in 2027.

Works are progressing on site with no delays now.

A permanent fence will be erected at Melbourne Waters expense along our boundary from the 14th tee to the 8th bunkers approx with temp fencing from there around the license area.

A Melbourne Water representative will conduct information sessions for members in late 2025.
