Medway’s Women’s Golf Pathway:

LEVEL 1 – I haven’t played before or I’m still pretty new to the game

Our women’s beginner clinics run constantly. They’re run in 4 week blocks, which cost a total of $60.

Classes are running on Wednesdays at 10am, with 5pm classes running when daylight permits (from late August again)

Private lessons can be shared with your friends and can be arranged at a time to suit you. So if you can’t make it at our group class times, find a friend or 2, split the cost and learn together!

LEVEL 2 I’ve come along to group classes or private lessons and am keen to have a go on the course with women at a similar stage to me.

Tuesdays at 10:45am Play 5 holes for $5

All equipment is provided if needed and the staff in the proshop will help point you in the right direction. 5 holes will usually take you about 1- 1.5 hours, so you’ll be finished in time for lunch!

The hope is that after a few months at this level, you might be enjoying your golf enough to progress to one of the options below.

Bookings are required for the 5 holes for $5, which can be done by calling the golf shop on 9317 9031.

LEVEL 3 – I’ve played for a little while and would like to play on the course more often and try out a membership.

6 Month Trial Membership! Includes unlimited golf at off peak times and includes 3 x 30 minute private lessons.

Course access is available at all off peak times. This means you only miss out on playing Thursdays, Saturdays and prior to midday on Sundays. Bookings are always required before coming along to the club and we’ll certainly help show you how to do that on your own.

At Medway, we’re all about having fun at the club and making your golf on the course as enjoyable as possible. Whether you’d like to play 3 holes, 18 holes or anywhere in between, we’ll make it work for you. Prior to being involved in competition play, you can absolutely play by your own rules on the course, whether it be using a tee for a few extra shots, taking your ball out of the long grass or starting each hole from the beginning of the fairway! If you’re keen on competition play, we’re here to help make sure you’re comfortable with the rules and etiquette involved with the game.

You can attain a Golflink handicap and compete in the club competitions if you wish including Tuesday mornings, Friday mornings and Sundays after 12pm .

This membership has a maximum 1 year term, however for women advancing into club competition or posses a solid level of skill and golf knowledge the timeframe can be shortened to 6 months.

Exciting news for our Women’s Trial members! – May 2022

Starting on Sunday the 15th of May, we will be reserving 3 groups between 12:15pm and 12:30 on Sundays just for you, our Women’s Trial members. We really want to help bridge the gap between coming along to the group classes and playing regular weekly golf. We want to help you build friendships with our other new women’s members and make integrating into our club as smooth as possible for you.

Note- Golfers who have a handicap from other clubs cannot start in this trial membership.

Membership Testimonial- Shona

I gingerly attended the 5 for 5 class 12 months ago not knowing anyone there. None of the group had much if any experience of holding a club let along playing a round. We were instantly made to feel at ease and assisted around the 5 holes with an experienced club member.

It didn’t take long to want more than the 5 holes every Wednesday, so I joined on the promotional $299 offer. This entitled me to 3 professional lessons and access to the course and before long I was playing 2-3 times per week. I now have a handicap and occasionally play in the Tuesday Women’s competition.

I am hooked on the game, rain , hail or shine and wish I had taken it up years ago. I still hit the ball sideways, but in between the odd wayward shots there is really straight long ones which keeps me coming back for more.

Apart from the game i have made a really fabulous circle of friends and enjoy the coffee and chat in the clubhouse as much as the game.

Thank you medway for making this possible.

Shona
